Operating in the heart of Indonesia's best coconut-producing regions, Argalingga doesn't just produce—we build a sustainable, transparent, and empowering agricultural ecosystem. Argalingga's relationship with coconut palm nectar farmers is built on principles of long-term partnership, transparency, and mutual respect. We understand that the quality of coconut sugar starts with farmer welfare.
Our Environmental Commitment
- No Land Conversion: All nectar comes from existing coconut orchards managed traditionally & sustainably. There is no deforestation in our supply chain.
- Regenerative Agriculture: Encouraging intercropping, natural rotation, and organic compost use to maintain soil fertility & biodiversity.
- Low Emission Production Process: Our factory uses efficient heating systems, process water recycling, and conversion of solid waste (nectar pulp & coconut shells) into organic fertilizer & renewable fuel.
- Eco-friendly Packaging: Using recyclable or naturally degradable food-grade packaging, and reducing single-use plastic by at least 85% since 2024.
- Carbon Absorption Program: Active in critical land rehabilitation and replanting coconut trees in partner regions, working with trusted environmental institutions.

Product Quality – From Selected Sap to Premium Sugar
In addition to processing sugar, Argalingga also manages and assists coconut plantations using agroecological principles.
Mixed Cropping System (Agroforestry)
Argalingga coconut plantations are not monoculture. Between coconut trees we plant:

Coconut Plantation Rejuvenation
We provide high-yielding, early-fruiting dwarf coconut seedlings to partner farmers, along with technical assistance until the first harvest.
Integrated Pest Management
No synthetic chemical pesticides. Pests like coconut beetles are controlled using pheromone traps and natural repellent plants (goat weed, citronella).
Organic Certification (in progress)
Argalingga's partner plantations already meet national organic farming standards (POPT) and are working towards EU Organic certification.

Argalingga uses no preservatives, artificial colors, or sweeteners. The natural brown color of our sugar comes from sap caramelization, not chemical bleaching. -
Hygienic Production & Quality Standards
Each production batch is tested for moisture content, ash content, and reducing sugar levels. We implement HACCP and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). -
Certification & Nutritional Benefits
Argalingga coconut sugar contains inulin (prebiotic fiber), minerals like iron, zinc, and potassium, and has a lower glycemic index than cane sugar.
